Key Events
Key Events are the rounds in a match. There is an equal number of Key Events per half, where each event lasts up to 1 minute. The winner of a Key Event has the chance to score a goal subject to the GK shot-stopping rating. If the users tie, there is no goal-scoring opportunity.
The type of Key Event is drawn randomly and comes with a unique set of criteria.
A Key Event may be classified as either Solo or Tandem (meaning either 1 or 2 CyBlocs from each team must participate), and either Single Skills or Dual Skills (meaning either 1 or 2 specific Skills are used in the round’s calculation).
During each Key Event, users must select which CyBloc(s) they want to use. If a user doesn’t choose a CyBloc within the 1 minute, then the game selects from their team randomly.
Each user may also play a Tactic Card during a round to temporarily modify things such as boosting their CyBloc’s Skill ratings. Playing Tactic Cards costs a certain number of Stamina.
After both users have locked in their selections, the engine will then refer to the Key Event’s criteria to compare the total Skill ratings of two teams (between the participating CyBlocs in that Key Event only) and calculate the difference in total Skill ratings.
The engine will also randomize the GK shot-stopping rating for this Key Event within its max RNG range, also accounting for any Tactic Card effect.
If the difference in total Skill ratings is higher than the GK shot-stopping rating, a goal will be awarded to the side with the higher rating for that round. If the difference is lower than or equal to the GK shot-stopping rating, the round will result in no goal.
An animation will play out on the football field to indicate the result of the current key event.
The goal scorer will always be the CyBloc that has the highest total rating in that Key Event on the winning team. If the round is a Tandem event (2 CyBlocs from each team must participate), the CyBloc with the lower rating will be given an assist. If both CyBlocs have similar total ratings, then which one scored/assisted will be random.
Exhaustion
In Exhibition 3v3, CyBlocs that participated in the previous Key Event are subjected to a temporary Exhaustion effect in which they suffer -10 to all their Skill ratings for 1 round.
