🧑‍🎓Mentoring

Mentoring allows experienced CyBlocs (at least 5 days old) to mentor new junior CyBlocs, potentially passing on their Classes and Traits in the process. Junior CyBlocs are freshly minted NFTs on the blockchain and also new characters within the game.

To avoid significant inflation, each eligible CyBloc can only mentor up to 3 new CyBlocs in total and only once every 5 days. User may choose to mentor using 1 or 2 CyBlocs at a time.

The mentoring process will also take a total of 5 days during which the new CyBloc will be represented as a CyPod, which is a tradeable NFT just like the actual CyBloc NFT. After 5 days have passed, user may choose to open the CyPod to reveal the CyBloc.

Note:

The senior CyBloc(s) that are used in the mentoring process will still be playable in-match (not in mentoring) during the 5-day incubation period of the new CyBloc.

Mentoring will cost some $CBT or $BUSD. The amount is subject to change as the game evolves over time.

The fees for Season 1 Mentoring (current) will be as follows:

Hint:

Cybloc Battery Token ($CBT) can be earned as Play-to-Earn rewards in Exhibition, League and Tournament modes (PvP).

In cases of dual mentoring, the mentoring cost will be taken as the average cost of each mentor’s count. For example, if the first mentor has never mentored (Mentoring Count 1), and the second mentor has mentored once before (Mentoring Count 2), the cost will be ½*(2500 + 2750) CBT = 2625 CBT (OR 210 BUSD).

Classes

Junior CyBlocs are much more likely to be of a higher Class if the mentors are of a better Class.

Having two mentors of the same Class will result in a higher chance of getting a better Class for the Junior CyBloc.

Having two mentors of different Class will neither result in a boost nor penalty. The probability in this case will be dependent on that mentor of higher Class type only.

Traits

For each trait the mentors have, there is a certain chance that the trait will be passed onto the junior CyBloc. The chance will depend on the rarity of the trait; the more rare a trait is, the less likely it is to be passed down.

In the event that the new CyBloc does not receive any of the traits from the mentors, the traits received will be randomized based on the natural chances (naturally gained). This means junior CyBlocs (the mentees/mentorees) have a higher chance of getting a trait or more than Genesis CyBlocs thanks to the pass-down mechanics.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that all CyBlocs will have minimum 1 and maximum 3 traits.

The mentoring process allows players to test their luck in order to craft the perfect team, or, alternatively, trade with other CyBallers who are searching for their first few CyBlocs.
